I’ve been advised for years by friends to use a primer under my makeup. I’ve been hesitant to try one because my skin is very sensitive but this product has caused no issues. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It allows my luquid makeup to glide on nicely for a smooth finish that lasts all day.

I had been using this product for many years, however, I noticed some time ago that the ingredients had been, obviously, changed. The consistency was different and it didn’t go on as smoothly. Not worth the price tag any more. I, instead tried, and have since switched to, Elf primer. It Is silky to apply, makes my skin feel alive and works as well as, if not better, than the original Smashbox product….and so much more affordable.

I’m not usually a huge fan of primer. There are things we usually need to put on our skin that can act as primers. But I do like to try them out, especially for longer days, evening wear or photo shoots.This primer did nothing very significant. I tried it with several different products. I have a few different tinted moisturizers that I use on light make up days, I have several different brands of liquid and powder foundation when I’m wanting more coverage for l evenings or photos.This did not do anything to help diminish any pores or hold onto any product. It did not help diminish any fine lines. Nothing of the sort.Essentially, I could take it or leave it. And more than likely leave it, because it did not do anything significant or noticeable.The good news is, it did not irritate my skin. It did not clog my pores. It did have a satin texture to it. But when we are looking for a primer, we are looking for a little bit more than just that, don’t you think?So I would recommend another brand of primer or an alternative to primer. Or nothing at all, Depending on your wants and needs.
