So, I got this shampoo because of the description of it being designed for thinning hair. I’ve only just started using it so I can’t ascertain to it’s long term effectiveness, but so far I haven’t noticed a difference in shedding. The smell doesn’t bother me but it is very herbal (in case you prefer the scents of other commercial brands). It lathers easily, and rinses easily. It hasn’t dried out my hair. HOWEVER, I will add that I have noticed I have had to wash my hair more often. My hair gets greasier faster. The product is affordable and a little goes a long way. Give it a try, I don’t have anything bad to say about it aside from the greasy hair (and that’s probably a sign my hair isn’t drying out). Happy shampooing!

One wash … and I couldn’t believe the extra fullness I saw (and softness). So, before my next shampoo, I bought another bottle. Due to stress I lost much hair in “fight-flight” mode (too much cortisol). Now healing, I’m caring for myself … I used to have a hard time pulling back or putting my hair in a pony it was so thick. Now, my hair is too thin from the ROOT not the ends; no split ends and hair grows from the root, not the ends. Despite my food intake and a biopsy to find out why it was shedding (the abusive/toxic marriage I was in 6 yrs), I got rid of him and WOW-WEE … as stated, one wash and I feel pretty, younger; my hair is healthier and lays beautifully vs. dried out looking … and I’ve even got a filter on my shower head. THIS IS A MUST HAVE !!! I’m really shocked. Internal Biotin didn’t do the job, but this external gives it the look I’m seeking. And I’m taking oral Minoxidil. That too is helping to grow in hair I had lost. Thank God I found this shampoo! Nice smell. I don’t do strong scents, this isn’t that and for me, it did NOT tingle on my head, thankfully. Kept looking good 2 days between washes. Amazed !!! 🙂

I used Biotin shampoo for a few months and can’t really say if it increased hair growth. I used it 1-2 times a week and it made my hair very dry and coarse. My hair loss was the result of incorrectly prescribed methotrexate drug that I took for only several days. I haven’t found anything that restores growth in the twelve years since.

Great for adding volume, BUT it dries the hair
This shampoo really adds volume to the hair, making it appear thicker. I have thin, sparse hair due to male pattern baldness, and with this shampoo, my hair looks fuller. However, after using it, the hair feels drier and heavier, which might be damaging with long-term use; I’ve only been using it for a few weeks so far.
