What makes Perfect hair Day Dry Shampoo different than others on the market?
There are countless dry shampoo options available that don’t actually clean your hair. PhD Dry Shampoo was designed to mimic a regular shampoo and the effects of washing your hair, giving you similar results as if you just washed it in the shower.
Does it work on all hair types?
Yes, it can be used on any hair type. For thicker, coarser hair texture, section more thoroughly. For curly hair, remove powders with a blow dryer (vs. fingers or brush, which will deconstruct the curl).
I see white residue. What should I do?
White residue that is easy to remove is normal and expected—especially if you have dark hair. To remove the white residue, rub and massage hair with fingers and/or use brush. If white residue still exists, use a blow dryer.

The fragrance in Perfect hair Day Dry Shampoo is light citrus scent that’s similar to what’s found in most other Living Proof products.
Can you layer with other products?
Yes, you can use PhD Dry Shampoo on top of hair products you used on damp hair to style (i.e. a styling cream). You can also use it before using products on dry hair to re-touch (i.e. a hairspray or finishing serum).

Sigh. It’s bittersweet to fall in love with such an expensive product. This has CHANGED THE GAME. My thin and fine hair looks legitimately WET with grease by day 2 after washing it, and now after using this the night of a morning/afternoon wash or the next morning, my hair looks fresh for days, even if I don’t reapply it. I can’t believe it. I can sense the grease building up in the weight of my hair or how it gathers in sort of bulky stringiness, but it doesn’t look disgusting like it used to with other dry shampoos or no product.

I loved my first can of this and reordered a second to have at the ready for when the first one ran out. When I opened the second one I only got one spray out before it stopped working. I tried running it under hot water and using the nozzle from the old can but nothing worked. It occurred to me try and contact Living Proof’s customer service and they sent me replacemt can. Knowing that Living Proof will stand behind their products gives me confidence to keep reording even if I might get another dud someday.

So although this is pricier than its sister brands I was willing to give it a shot. Here’s why..Almost every dry shampoo makes me break out on my forehead or neck. I have very sensitive skin. This brand works so well and bonus my skin doesn’t react, yay!!In my photos you can see the before, during and after of my use of this product. It does spray on white on my dark hair but after waiting 30 seconds for it to soak in I massage it in with my fingers. After that, no more white residue just clean, non greasy looking hair.So if like me you often feel like a greasy hair hot mess this is the perfect companion for a quick fix.

I absolutely LOVE this dry shampoo for my normal hair and for my human hair wigs. However, even though it smells extremely nice and fresh, the level of smell can be a little over powering and hit you in the face pretty strong. It’s mainly due to the fact that A LOT sprays out at once just by barely pressing down the spray nozzle, and with this (not just because of the price) a little goes a long way. My boyfriend can’t stand it. He thinks it smells horrible and doesn’t like when I use it. After a couple minutes the strong smell calms down and it’s much better, though. As far as taking away oils, I think it works extremely well for both my real hair and my human hair wigs in-between washes. Although this is an extremely pricey bottle for the size you get, it’s definitely worth every penny! Plus, like I was lucky enough to come across this last time, it does tend to go on sale quite often. I highly recommend at least trying this once!!

For busy or anyone seeking healthier and easier hair habits, this is a must have. It actually CLEANS your hair and has allowed me to go several days without washing when I was an avid every day washer before. Easy to use and worth every penny. Highly recommend.

I have thin hair and an oily scalp, so I’ve never been one who could go than more than a day and a half without showering. All other dry shampoos I’ve ever tried would help a bit on day two for a couple hours at best, but this one is like magic. I don’t understand what makes it different, but my hair actually looks and feels pretty clean the entire next day, so if you have a more “normal” hair/scalp situation, I can’t imagine this not getting you two extra days. (I’ve even applied it to “I’ve been in bed for a week with illness and haven’t showered” hair and it perked it up to make it doable for a Zoom call…magic I tell ya.)That said, this stuff is NOT discreet. There is a very heavy fog left behind after application, which does worry me about what I’m inhaling. I may break out my Covid masks to wear during application as a precaution. Also, while the fragrance isn’t too bad, it is noticeable and leans feminine, so it may not appeal to all. I’m a fan of unscented products in general, as I have a lot of skin allergies, but I will say this one hasn’t upset my skin/scalp yet, and I don’t forsee any issues there. Eliminating the scent on this would make this product nearly as perfect as it’s name implies.

ich hätte ehrlicherweise nie gedacht, dass ich es so gut finden würde. es riecht toll und die haare sind danach echt frischer und nicht so zugeklatscht wie mit anderen Trockenshampoos. Ich bin über einen Influencer darauf gestoßen und hätte niemals gedacht dass es so gut wäre.
