   I bought the waterproof version of this before a trip to Costa Rica, and it’s the best waterproof mascara I’ve ever used. I was noticing that my usual day-to-day mascara from Ilia was burning my eyes like crazy whenever I would sweat, like in yoga class or just from living in Phoenix. So when that ran out, I thought I’d give this Clinique mascara a try.Unlike most other mascaras that made my lashes look stiff and spidery or just went on too thick, this one goes on nice and light but is buildable to get the perfect look for any situation–light for running errands around town or add a couple extra coats for a bolder look. It makes my lashes look so much more natural and soft than any other mascara I’ve tried.Now that I have both the waterproof and regular version, I couldn’t be happier!

   This is the only mascara I can wear. I have extremely sensitive eyes and reactive skin. If I put any thing on my eyes, I will scratch my eyes out. I can only wear this for about 6 to 8 hours and then I start to scratch my eyes. Everything irritates me except for and I usually only wear mascara for a good six hours. But when I get in the car, I remove the mascara as I’m heading home from wherever I’ve been out to. It has good power make lashes stand up. It makes them super black and it defines. I love it.

   Thank you thank you thank you. I stopped wearing eye makeup because as soon as I put it on, my eyes would dry out, turn red, and I’d itch all day. I’ve put this on every day of the week with none of that. I’m still in disbelief. I never could figure out what ingredient I was sensitive too but glad I can wear makeup again.

   The color is def a dark brown, it’s darker than smokin’ topaz (brown) eyeliner by nyx (not so good on my sensitive eyes) so I’m still on the hunt. The tube’s squeegee works well. I only apply one swipe so I can’t comment how well it lengthens beyond that, but seems to work as described although I noticed more thickening than lengthening. It didn’t transfer, flake or make my lashes clump together so I’ll keep using it until I find a not so black brown. New the tube weighed 22.2g outside of the mfr box (I’ve unfortunately been a recipient of counterfeit products in the past, not by Clinique tho)
